1. Who we are

Alchemy Co-Working ("Alchemy," "we," "us," or "our") operates coworking spaces in Gastonia and Charlotte, North Carolina. We provide open coworking, dedicated desks, private offices, meeting rooms, day passes, and community programming to our Partners and guests.

This Privacy Policy applies to www.alchemycowork.com, our booking and tour-scheduling forms, our text-message program, and the services we provide at our locations.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details — name, email address, mobile phone number, company name, and team size, submitted through tour requests, waitlist and reservation forms, contact forms, and room bookings.
  • Booking and membership details — the space or room you reserve, dates and times, plan type, and any preferences or notes you send us.
  • Payment information — processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, text, web form, or phone.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps, collected when you visit our website.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies and analytics.

Information from our locations

  • Access and visit records — building entry records for Partners with 24/7 access, and guest sign-ins.
  • Video — our locations may use security cameras in common areas for safety purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to tour requests, questions, and booking inquiries.
  • Provide and administer your Partnership, desk, office, or room reservation.
  • Process payments and send invoices and receipts.
  • Send you appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and account or service notifications.
  • Send you community news, event invitations, and promotional messages, where you have consented to receive them.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.
  • Keep our spaces secure and comply with our legal obligations.

4. SMS and text messaging

Alchemy Co-Working operates a text-message program for appointment reminders, booking and account notifications, community event announcements, and promotional messages.

How you opt in

End users opt in by visiting https://www.alchemycowork.com and filling in their details on any form. Users check a box to receive notifications and promotional messages to provide their consent. We do not add anyone to our text program without this affirmative opt-in.

What to expect

  • Message types — appointment and tour reminders, booking confirmations, account and service notifications, community event announcements, and promotional offers.
  • Message frequency — message frequency varies. You will typically receive no more than a few messages per month.
  • Cost — message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Alchemy does not charge for text messages.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further texts unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at [email protected] or (704) 753-8722.

We do not sell or share your SMS consent

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for the messaging service providers and subcontractors that help us deliver the messages themselves.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all mobile devices or carriers may support our messaging program.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers — companies that host our website, process payments, manage bookings and calendars, send email, and deliver text messages on our behalf. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Alchemy, our Partners, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your direction — when you ask us to share your information, for example a warm introduction or referral to another Partner.

As stated above, mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your Partnership records, comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

If you opt out of text messages, we retain a record of your opt-out so that we can honor it.

8. How we protect your data

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices
